Homemade Solar Panel Plans

Select The Best Homemade Solar Plans
Homemade Solar Panel's are a great way to cut some of your power bills and, what's even better than that, you get to feel great about yourself for using green energy on a daily basis. And through all my efforts and from all the different informational articles, newsletters and blogs that me and my local Green Energy activities group have provided -there are a few questions that our readers always seem to ask.
So what I want to do is provide our readers and all the people that visit this particular article with some information about choosing the right homemade solar panel plans. And becuase I dont know what I would have doen without some help selecting my first solar panel plans, I REALLY want to explain what you deserve when you buy your own set of solar panel plans for your home or business.
Videos
First of all, you should know that there are homemade solar panel plans that DO offer Instruction Videos with the plans. Unfortunately -most plans do not offer video's. And if you have never built your own homemade solar panels -then you shoud definitely consider the importance of having something that will ensure that you know EXACTLY what to do and what your solar panels should look like along the way.

- QUESTION:
explain me about working of scientific calculator using solar energy when battery power is down?
that is, how a scientific calculator works when its battery power is totally down?how it works when it is shown in sunlight for sometime?please give me the mechanism involved in it.- ANSWER:
when batt not available the triac is used so the base power switches to solar cell and there if it gets energy it emmitts power to 7-segment and again ur calc is on solar batt. when u replace battreis again the triac actives through batt power.

- QUESTION:
How much energy can a calculator solar cell generate?
I'm doing a test using a calculator solar cell and a basic RadioShack multimeter. When in direct sunlight I'm getting 3.3 volts. The question is on the amperage; I have the setting turned to '2mA' and the number that is showing is 1.35. Is this only 1.35 milliamps, or am I reading this wrong? It seems ridiculously low to me, even for a measly calculator solar cell, as that would be only 0.004 volts. Please help!
*0.004 watts- ANSWER:
That is correct, you will get some that are slightly higher depending on the LCD display and function. The one on my desk is less than that. You have to remember that the working voltage for a micro chip is extremely low and has to be not to fry it. You will get more voltage and amperage with a larger solar cell, one that I have for a fountain on my deck is 6 vdc +- on a sunny day, I never checked the amperage, but the cell is 6"x4".

- QUESTION:
Where has the application of solar energy been most successful... in calculators/watches, space or elsewhere?
I used to have a solar calculator in the 80's which I thought was great!I'd love for solar energy to be commercially successful but I just don't see how it can compete in a global market as your energy costs will just rocket up which makes your country uncompetitive, etc. unless you can globally green tax the CO2 based energies but Nuclear will still easily win!
So what future can solar have in a global warmed world?
- ANSWER:
.
I think solar power will one day be perfectly feasible and able to power devices which require a lot less power then they do currently (think of the different power requirement for light between an incandescent lightbulb and quantum dots for example).I think the insane part, though, is when people assume that you can somehow force solar and wind on to the country and world as a whole when it is nowhere near at the stage when it can supply the electricity we need. Nuclear is the only sensible way to go for power at this moment, unless you want to go back to coal.
.
When solar and wind can compete genuinely, then they will win naturally.

- QUESTION:
I need to find a calculator to calculate the amount of energy used by solar panels?
I am doing a science project and I need to find out if solar panels are an environmentally feasible way to heat a pool compared to the #2 diesel that is currently being used. Is there a calculator that I could use to see how much energy a solar panel uses?- ANSWER:
What you need is a solar pool heater. It is a series of plastic panels that you run your pool water through using your existing pool pump. As the water runs through them, they get heated by the sun, just like if you leave a hose in the yard, the water inside gets very hot. Since you are using your existing pool pump, no extra electricity is used. You can see some data on it at http://www.hi-tecsolar.com/whysolar.html.To size a system, you use anywhere from 70% to 100% of the pool's surface area to determine how many panels. A 10' x 40' pool is 400 sq ft, it would need anywhere from 280 to 400 sq ft of panels. That kit will cost less than 00, and can heat the pool to around 10 degrees F higher than the air temp. http://www.altestore.com/store/Solar-Pool-Heaters-and-Pumps/Unglazed-Solar-Pool-Heating/Guardian-Solar-Pool-Heating/Leveredge-Guardian-Pool-Heating-Package-400-SqFt/p7353/.
This is MUCH more cost effective than using solar electric panels to power an electric pool heater. Depending on what fuel is currently used to heat the pool, a system can pay for itself in a year or two.
